This new research project is a study of American swing-state voters that provides a deep understanding of how Americans see the Democratic and Republican parties, how they feel about America now and into the future, and where governing parties can connect with and deliver for the American voter. The research uses a deep psychological approach – metaphor elicitation – that has been used for years in the corporate space but has rarely been used in the political space until now. The approach is known for uncovering deep-seated thoughts and feelings that drive behavior, and we feel, is key to going beyond what can be surfaced in traditional polls and focus groups.
