Future Majority was founded in 2017 to fill the critical need for an outside, non-biased, data-driven strategy center focused on brand, storytelling, and policy to advise leaders as they think about issues, campaigning, and governing.

President & CEO

Mark Riddle is the President & CEO of Future Majority. Recently, Mark was the Founder and Senior Strategist for Unite the Country, the pro-Joe Biden Super PAC. Unite the Country and Future Majority raised over $75 million to promote Joe Biden’s positive message, as well as research and communicate on issues confronting Americans. From 2011-2019, Mark was the President of the New Leaders Council, one of the nation’s premier progressive leadership training organizations for next-generation political and business entrepreneurs. Under his leadership, NLC has expanded to 50 chapters with nearly 9,000 alumni.

Gretchen Barton

Gretchen Barton

Research Director

Gretchen Barton is Future Majority’s research director. Gretchen has led research and served as a behavioral science strategist and researcher for political organizations and campaigns such as NextGen America, New Moral Majority, The Lincoln Project, Way to Win, Ideas 42, and more. Her work has uncovered key messaging insights to turn out the youth vote, revealing voters’ deepest hopes for presidential candidates, and identified insights using traditional and non-traditional research methodologies.

Matt Tompkins

CFO/COO

Matt serves as the CFO/COO of Future Majority, overseeing the organization’s development and operations. Recently Matt completed his 8-year tenure at the New Leaders Council (NLC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit in which he served as Vice President and National Development Director. During his over 15 years in the political arena, Matt Tompkins has been involved in leading fundraising operations for many high profile non-profits and political campaigns ranging from top tier U.S. Senate, Governor, Congressional, statewide and local races in Kentucky and nationally; as well as Super PACs and 527 groups including the Democratic Governors Association (DGA). In addition to these efforts, Matt was a co-founder of the Unite the Country Super PAC which was pivotal in helping Joe Biden secure the Democratic nomination and the White House in 2020.

Dustin Robinson

Dustin Robinson

Communication & Digital Director

Dustin Robinson is a communication and digital strategist who has led online communication, organizing, and fundraising efforts for a variety of Democratic candidates and progressive organizations. Dustin serves as the chief communications officer for Future Majority where he oversees the organization’s organic and paid communications efforts. Previously, Dustin was the national communications director for New Leaders Council, the nation’s largest training program for progressive millennials, and was a senior aide to DNC vice chair Michael Blake during his campaign for vice-chair, as well as his re-election to the New York State Assembly.

Jaylan Scott

Communication & Policy Coordinator

Jaylan A. Scott is a servant leader and passionate politico with experience working on local, state, and national progressive campaigns. Either as a volunteer, staff member, or consultant, Jaylan has worked with numerous non-profits, campaigns, and PACs including Michael Blake’s campaign for Democratic National Committee Vice-Chairman, Stacey Abram’s historic run for Governor of Georgia, Future Majority, and New Leaders Council. At 21-years-old, Jaylan serves as Executive Vice President of the Young Democrats of Georgia, and the former Deputy Finance Director of the Young Democrats of America, and serves as a member of the executive committee for the Macon-Bibb Democratic Party.

Senior Digital Advisor

Mark Skidmore is the CEO & co-founder of Assemble the Agency. He works at the intersection of politics, culture, data and media and uses these core pillars to drive business outcomes for his companies and clients. In addition to his work at Assemble, he is on the Board of Advisors at For Freedoms, an artist-led platform that launched the largest public art campaign in U.S. History. Previously, he was a Founding Partner and Chief Strategist of Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI), the firm behind President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns, where he helped grow the firm into the market leader in politics and public affairs. His broad range of political work includes launching President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, developing the DSCC IE’s digital program and running the digital advertising operations for Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Tammy Duckworth, and Claire McCaskill, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayors Rahm Emanuel and Bill de Blasio.

Kate Conway is the creative director for Assemble the Agency. Kate specializes in the intersection of politics and design, bringing a broad portfolio of online and offline creative work to Assemble. Prior to joining Assemble, she was Creative Director at the DCCC during the historic 2018 cycle, during which Democrats picked up 40 congressional seats to retake control of the House of Representatives. There, she built the in-house creative team that developed graphic content powering more than $124M in online fundraising for Democrats in the 2018 cycle. She also spearheaded a complete organizational rebrand, overseeing the installation of a new logo and design system. With nearly a decade of political experience under her belt, Kate is also an alum of American Bridge 21st Century and Media Matters for America.

A’Shanti Gholar

Senior Advisor

A’shanti Gholar is a senior advisor to Future Majority and is the founder of The Brown Girls Guide to Politics and the CEO of AFG Consulting. She currently serves as the president for Emerge America, the only organization dedicated to recruiting and training Democratic women to run for office. A grassroots organizer and activist for women, communities of color, and progressive causes for 15 years, A’shanti has experience in building coalitions, program development, and community and political engagement.

Gregg is the New York Times #1 internationally bestselling author of 18 novels, including Orphan X. His novels have been shortlisted for numerous literary awards, graced top ten lists, and have been published in 30 languages. He is also a New York Times bestselling comic book writer, having penned stories for Marvel (Wolverine, Punisher) and DC (Batman, Penguin). He has written screenplays for or sold spec scripts to many of the major studios (including The Book of Henry), and written, developed and produced television for various networks.

Robert Shapiro is the founder and chairman of Sonecon, LLC, a private firm in Washington D.C. that provides analysis and advice to U.S. and foreign government officials, business executives, and leaders of non-governmental organizations on economic and security-related policy matters. Dr. Shapiro has advised, among others, Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Vice President Albert Gore, Jr., British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Secretary David Miliband, Secretary of State and Senator Hillary Clinton, Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin, Timothy Geithner and Jacob Lew, and other senior members of the Clinton, Obama and Trump administrations and the U.S. Congress.
