- Costs remain a substantial stressor for voters: 80% say Trump’s tariffs will make costs go up. 75% of Democrats and Independents agree that Democrats should oppose tariffs, and 57% of Independents say they are experiencing a “Trump Slump” and the trade war is threatening their financial freedom
- The “For the People” and “Freedom” frames still resonate: Most of the policy messaging using these themes reached well-above 50% in voter agreement. Voters want fighters, but they also want solutions and unifying approaches over extremism
- Protecting programs from corruption, individual freedom and stopping government overreach are persuasive pivots: 55% of voters see Elon Musk’s government contracts as another example of corruption, and overwhelmingly disagree with his opinion on Social Security
